Jocelyn Gavin-Lane

Jocelyn Gavin-Lane has worked in the social service field as a licensed social worker for more than 20 years. Her career began as a front line social worker investigating child abuse and neglect. Since that time, she has worked in the areas of adoption, hospice, medical social work, and offering care to our nation’s veterans.

She is the owner and Clinical Director of Premier Professional Counseling Services, LLC. The mission of Premier Counseling is to see the client as a whole person, and not the circumstance they are currently facing.

​

Jocelyn has a Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. and a Masters in Public Health- Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

​

She is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast as well as a 2008 graduate of the Department of Veterans Affairs Leadership Development Institute. She is the 2012 recipient of the Spirit of the Ivy Award, 2014 recipient of the Rose Mary Hayes Williams Humanitarian Award, and the 2015 recipient of the Daughter of the Year award. She was recognized as a Top Influencer at the 2018 Success Women’s Conference.

Jocelyn is a featured columnist in Trends Wedding & Lifestyle Magazine. She has also been featured in Gulf Coast Woman magazine and graced the cover of Gulf Coast Woman magazine in January 2019.

She is a published co-author of Unboxed 25 women share how to break free and soar as well as her own anthology Mind Your Mental
Health: 21 Stories of Healing and Growth.

She is the CEO & founder of The Pink Lotus Project a national nonprofit organization focused on empowering women and mentoring girls. Pink Lotus hosts the Gulf Coast Youth Leadership Symposium which empowers over 150 students each summer in the areas of leadership and service. She serves as a previous board member of the Mississippi Chapter of National Association of Social Workers, member Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gulf Coast (MS) Chapter of The Links, Inc., MS Gulf Coast Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
